Five hours will allow you to travel 132 miles round trip allowing you to continue deeper into the beautiful Yukon Territory past the dramatic Venus Mine, spectacular Bove Island and arrive at the Tagish First Nation town of Carcross. This historic town rests at the north end of Lake Bennett, the stampeder's first leg of the water journey to Dawson. Lake Bennett has a glorious sandy beach for several miles to escape and enjoy the heat. To savor the beach and have more time to visit the town, the 6 hour tour would be the better option. 6 hour emerald lake tour-- $750 private group rate per vehicle

If you have gone as far as Carcross it would be a shame to miss two spectacular natural wonders less than 10 miles up the road. Continue past Carcross to the unexpected world's smallest desert and take in the mind bending sight of sand dunes in the middle of this rugged landscape. The highlight of this tour is breathtaking Emerald Lake, 75 miles from Skagway. It's like the northern lights in water! A visit to Caribou Crossing wildlife museum, dog sledding demonstrations and rides, sled dogs, puppies, gold panning and helicopter rides can be added for an additional charge. From Fraser you will hop in a private minivan for a scenic drive up to the Yukon border and back down to Skagway making scenic photo stops along the way. On your private drive you can take advantage of being able to stop and appreciate the view without chugging on by it. Savor a 3 hour driving adventure into the Yukon Territory searching for wildlife, enjoying the magnificent scenery, and returning to Skagway by road. Enjoy a winding drive down a coastal road to the ghost town of Dyea, Skagway's rival city during the Gold Rush where only dock pilings remain. Here we will see the foot of the famous Chilkoot Trail along the Taiya river valley. Opportunities to see marine life such as whales, seals, otters, and bald eagles are plentiful as well as a possible bear sightings. Dyea is a birdwatcher's paradise and a great escape from Skagway's noisy trains, buses, helicopters, and cruise ships. From Dyea we will then travel up the Kondike highway fifty miles to the Yukon Territory. The scenery along this drive takes your breath away and will leave you feeling refreshed by untouched nature in every direction. Multiple photo stops.
3 hour city summit cemetery afternoon tour-- $375 private group rate per vehicle

This classic tour takes you through historic downtown Skagway and residential area, to the city overlook, up the Klondike Highway to the White Pass Summit, to the historic Gold Rush Cemetery and finally to powerful Lower Reid Falls*. Departures usually scheduled for the afternoon. This is the best tour for those who have excursions in the morning or for those visitors who want to see what Skagway has to offer without committing an entire day to touring.
