HERSTORIC SKAGWAY AND KLONDYKE TOUR

Of the 100,000 stampeders only about 100 of them were women.  This tour focuses on the amazing women of the Gold Rush who bucked tradition to chase the dream of Klondike Gold.  Not all the women who came north were ladies of the night; there were the hearty, bad a** Tlingit women who packed goods over the Chilkoot Trail for the stampeders; women entrepreneurs like Harriet Pullen who left her family and found her bounty in Skagway with descendants still in town today ; one of the discoverers of the Klondike gold from Carcross, Shaa Tlaa: the first female ship captain in the Yukon, and many more.  These often forgotten stories are brought to light with a celebration of their contribution that can inspire even the jaded. 
This focus can be incorporated into any of our hourly tour options.
Group rate of $150 per hour for up to 6 people.  4 hour minimum.

*Opportunity to visit Caribou Crossing and experience their fantastic wildlife museum, dog sled demonstrations, dog cart rides, pet a puppy/sled dog, go gold panning, or take a helicopter ride for additional fees.
Give yourself extra time to enjoy all of your favorite new stops and spend as long as the wildlife will allow us without feeling sad to rush back to your ship.  Spend a little extra time in Carcross and visit the Tlingit Tribal Learning Center, enjoy a leisurely lunch, poke around some of the gift shops and cafes, or simply have some quiet time walking the beach at lakes Bennett or Tutshi. Whatever you choose to do, just slow down the pace and enjoy at your leisure for just one hour more. 
ONCE AGAIN, THE DISTANCE WE TRAVEL IS DETERMINED BY HOW MANY STOPS WE MAKE AND HOW LONG WE SPEND AT EACH STOP.  THE ABOVE HOURLY TIMETABLE AND LIST OF STOPS WILL VARY ACCORDINGLY.
