What a long strange trip this has been! 2020 was a total bust thanks to the pandemic and we are looking at another summer without our cruise ship passengers. In the face of financial devastation the amazing city of Skagway is gearing up for a new approach to tourism; independent travelers, friends and family, Skagway Alumni from prior summers, and smaller cruise ships. It's going to be a great summer of new ideas and adventurous souls! Instead of crying in our pillows each business owner in town is adapting to our limitations and working together in new ways to hopefully survive until the 2022 cruise ship season begins. I can't wait to see who comes to visit!

Our limo van provides A divider between driver and guests!
Skagway Private Tours' limo van is the ONLY vehicle in Skagway which provides added safety by social distancing from your tour driver! The privacy divider between the driver and passenger area provides an extra margin of safety from cooties and covid. The van's sound system allows for passengers to hear the driver's narration and microphones in the back allow the driver to hear the guests. Skagway Private Tours will be following local, state and federal/CDC safety practices to make sure guests and driver are as safe as possible. CDC guidelines have yet to be posted but rest assured the ENTIRE town will be following in order to be back in operation. All tours are private so when you book the van it is yours...no mixed bags of nuts! Vehicle fits groups up to 7 people*. Contact us for larger group options and pricing.

2021 tour options, ideas and logistics
The likelihood of the Canadian border opening during the 2021 summer season is not looking good; that means more opportunities to explore Skagway and Dyea! In a normal tour season we usually have 4 ships in port with over 12,000 visitors. It is too much for a town 4 blocks wide and 22 blocks long. The opportunity to see this area quiet and peaceful during the summer is a RARE OPPORTUNITY! So enjoy exploring with a true year round local who can share this piece of her heart with you. You can feel good knowing that your business will help a year round local make it through the most unimaginable financial "pause" in Skagway history.

One of the most classic and simple of all tour options in Skagway; the city summit tour will offer a thorough city tour and phenomenal photo stops up the scenic Klondike Highway paralleling the route of the White Pass and Yukon Route Railroad.

Enjoy the royal treatment of a limo van for your day or night on the town hitting Skagway's local establishments. Feel free to BYOB and drink inside the limo van as well! A cooler will be provided for you if needed and NO tour narration will be necessary! This is YOUR creation and celebration. Party on my friends!

Meet JEDI! Summer 2021 offers the best tour opportunity for anyone visiting Skagway with the DOG IS THE COPILOT" option. This is the perfect tour for all dog lovers as Jedi will ride shotgun up front with his owner. Jedi is a gentle, loving, smart and amazing rescue pup from Angoon with an amazing story of his own. He is a light during dark times and now his joy can be shared with visitors!
Jedi will ride up front with Sherry and will be available at photo stops for guests and on the trail or town site for our walks or hikes. Dogs are the best way to really connect us to nature and Jedi loves to be that Force for whomever he is with.

A cleaning surcharge of unknown price at the time of this writing will be added to the tour price and a portion of that fee will be donated to Paws and Claws Animal Shelter in Skagway.
